Social Development department reiterates commitment to bettering SASSA grants

Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her guidance and motivation to improving South African Social Security Company (SASSA) companies in the course of an engagement along with the company's senior managers at a strategic arranging session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric exams.

In the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils while in the training sector.

These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
